This Privacy Policy explains how Delfin (“Delfin,” “we,” “us”), a product operated by Gushwork, collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and services (the “Service”). Delfin helps buyers discover suppliers and request quotes. You can use the Service without creating an account.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Sourcing information you provide: the requirement you describe, any location you select, the suppliers you choose, and the details you enter into a quote request.
- Contact information: if you ask us to send quotes or alerts, the email address you provide.
- Usage and device information: standard analytics such as pages viewed, interactions, approximate location derived from your IP address, browser type, and session activity. We use Microsoft Clarity to understand product usage and improve the experience.
How we use information
- To find, qualify, and contact suppliers on your behalf.
- To generate and deliver quote requests and return responses to you.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
- To communicate with you, including alerts you opt into.
- To comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse.
How information is shared
To deliver the Service, the content of your request may be sent to the suppliers you select (or, in our current testing phase, routed internally before being sent on). We share information with service providers who help us run the Service — for example LLM and web-search providers used to process requests, email delivery providers, hosting providers, and analytics providers — under agreements that limit their use of the information. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.
Data retention
We retain sourcing requests, quote activity, and subscription details for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes, after which we delete or anonymize them. You can request deletion at any time.
Your choices and rights
You may unsubscribe from alerts at any time, and you can request access to or deletion of your information by contacting us. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
